Janell Moon is the author of four nonfiction/inspiration/self-help books including Stirring the Waters: Writing to Find Your Spirit, published by Charles Tuttle, which was nominated for the Nautilus Prize as one of the five best spiritual books of 2001. Elements, a HarperCollinsUK imprint, published How to Pray Without Being Religious. The Wise Earth Speaks to Your Spirit, published by RedWheel/Weiser, was voted by Spirituality and Health Magazine as one of the best spirituality books of 2005. The Prayer Box of rituals was published by Red Wheel/Weiser.

Moon's memoir, Salt and Paper is forthcoming in 2010 from RAW ArT PRESS. Riding Free in a Blue Studebaker is Janell Moon's sixth booth of poetry, selected for publication as part of Main Street Rag's 2007 National Poetry Contest. She is a San Francisco Bay Area Poet for Peace, counselor, writing coach/consultant, clinical hypnotherapist, and college instructor.
